I’ve recently found myself with an overabundance of bananas that have started turning to the dark side. (As you can probably tell from me featuring two banana recipes back-to-back. Haha. If you haven’t already checked it out, skip on over to last week’s recipe: Triple Chocolate Banana Muffins.) We just can’t seem to consume them fast enough. And just when I thought we didn’t have enough, I was gifted a bunch from a work function. SO. MANY. BANANAS. But fret not, instead of throwing out these little fellas, I used this as an opportunity to turn that banana frown upside down and finally tackle the obstacle of creating a delectable, moist banana bread from scratch. This week’s post is the result of doing some research and experimenting in the kitchen. I present unto you, my version of easy, moist banana bread with maple syrup! Continue reading
We’ve done it! We’ve started an herb garden in our apartment! After some discussion, and many recipes utilizing store bought herbs, my boyfriend and I have taken the plunge and decided to roll the die on our gardening abilities. This bodes well for this week’s recipe: Lemon Thyme Cake! Continue reading
A good morrow to you and happy Saturday!
I’ve been in a baking mood recently (if you haven’t noticed from last week’s post of Chocolate Banana Loaf). And as a result have decided to dedicate this week’s recipe to baking as well: Blueberry Lemon Loaf! I figure my previous posts were mostly savory, so why not spice things up a bit, eh? (I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a little spice in their life? The Spice Girls did, and it certainly worked for them. Now I’m dating myself….) Continue reading

Good Morning Lovelies!
We are half way through September, and Fall is in the air! I have to say, Fall is my favorite time of year. You could either wear a jacket and boots, or shorts and sandals. And you get to go apple picking and pumpkin picking! And there’s pumpkin spice lattes! Ugh Stop! (I’m also bias, because I was born in the Fall.) Continue reading
Good Morrow Ladies and Gents!
Have I got a delectable recipe for you this week: Figs, Brie and Berries, oh my!
I’ve had figs on my mind for the past week and have been trying to come up with a unique and interesting recipe that would incorporate said craving. I came across a recipe where there was soft cheese baked in the fig and decided to put my own little spin on it. I decided to use brie, Continue reading
Friday has arrived! I feel like the days are flying by being in Culinary School. I’m learning SO much, and loving every minute of it!
Since I’m in a condensed program, we are learning at a fast pace and cooking anywhere between 4-8 recipes a day, some of which have very intense directions. Many times, by the time I Continue reading
How is everyone this fine day? I’m doing FAN-tastic, as I get to spend some QT (Quality Time) with one of my close friends this weekend! I’m going to relax down the shore and spend some time with some awesome people and eat some delicious food. Can’t get much better than that, am I right? Well, maybe if we include this week’s recipe into this weekend’s extravaganza: Grilled Peaches! Continue reading
Happy Friday and welcome back!
It’s almost the Fourth of July, and as such, I wanted to make this week’s recipe was something that you could easily whip together for any BBQ celebrations you may be having over the long weekend. I wanted to incorporate the colors red, white and blue into this recipe to be patriotic and add a fun twist, and came up with Very Berry Yogurt Pops!
