I’ve recently found myself with an overabundance of bananas that have started turning to the dark side. (As you can probably tell from me featuring two banana recipes back-to-back. Haha. If you haven’t already checked it out, skip on over to last week’s recipe: Triple Chocolate Banana Muffins.) We just can’t seem to consume them fast enough. And just when I thought we didn’t have enough, I was gifted a bunch from a work function. SO. MANY. BANANAS. But fret not, instead of throwing out these little fellas, I used this as an opportunity to turn that banana frown upside down and finally tackle the obstacle of creating a delectable, moist banana bread from scratch. This week’s post is the result of doing some research and experimenting in the kitchen. I present unto you, my version of easy, moist banana bread with maple syrup! Continue reading
Good morning and happy Labor Day weekend! Please excuse the delay in posting, however I have a wonderful treat to make up for lost time: Triple Chocolate Banana Muffins! It’s a sinfully delicious sort of muffin, with three different forms of chocolate: small chocolate chips, regular sized chocolate chips, and cocoa powder. Combine that with some ripened bananas and it whips up a super tasty and hearty snack that you won’t be disappointed in! Continue reading
It’s that time of the year again, where your calendar is filling up with BBQs and fun plans with friends and family! With that, comes the slight pressure of figuring out what dish to bring. Ahh! Memorial Day passed recently and I was trying to figure out what dish to bring to a friend’s BBQ when I had the urge to make fresh salsa. I scoured through my fridge and found all of the ingredients readily available, so that’s what I’m going to share with you all today! 🙂 Continue reading
Good Morning Sunshines!
I had gone apple picking a week or so ago with family and friends and had some leftover apples sitting in my fridge and was trying to think of a way to utilize them. (I really dislike waste. Ask any of my classmates.) I was trolling the internet and came across an apple crisp recipe by Sally’s Baking Addiction. I wanted to test them out for myself and boy was it amazing! I tweaked a few things to suit my tastes and wanted to share it with you all! Continue reading
Good Morrow Ladies and Gents!
Have I got a delectable recipe for you this week: Figs, Brie and Berries, oh my!
I’ve had figs on my mind for the past week and have been trying to come up with a unique and interesting recipe that would incorporate said craving. I came across a recipe where there was soft cheese baked in the fig and decided to put my own little spin on it. I decided to use brie, Continue reading
Friday has arrived! I feel like the days are flying by being in Culinary School. I’m learning SO much, and loving every minute of it!
Since I’m in a condensed program, we are learning at a fast pace and cooking anywhere between 4-8 recipes a day, some of which have very intense directions. Many times, by the time I Continue reading
