Yogurt Parfait!

Friday has arrived!  I feel like the days are flying by being in Culinary School.  I’m learning SO much, and loving every minute of it!

Since I’m in a condensed program, we are learning at a fast pace and cooking anywhere between 4-8 recipes a day, some of which have very intense directions. Many times, by the time I get home, I just want to make/eat something that is super light and simple.  That being said, this week’s recipe is a great embodiment of this light and simple attitude: Yogurt Parfait!

This recipe is only four ingredients and is super flavorful and light!  It’s absolutely perfect for a little something sweet to end with after dinner, or perhaps a midday snack to get you through the remainder of the day without housing that bag of chocolate and dealing with the subsequent feelings of guilt.  (I understand, I was once a chocoholic as well.  The first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem: Chocoholics Anonymous.)

Below are the ingredients for this yummy dessert.

Ingredients:

2 T. Greek Yogurt (Recommended brand is Fage)

1/4 Cup of blueberries

1/4 Cup of strawberries – quartered

1 T. of granola

You can use any brand/type of granola.  I happened to come across this really wonderful brand in the grocery store, Mamma Chia’s Cinnamon Pecan Cluster, that I felt added some great texture and flavor. (And because Chia Seeds make me feel fancy.)

First, I washed all of my fruit.  Then I took the strawberries and quartered them.

Next, I layered my items in a bowl; Greek yogurt, strawberries, blueberries and crumbled granola.

It’s literally that easy!
